Fortunately, at the end of “The Escape,” they move the Sire into a nice house with the Baron Afanas, instead of keeping him locked inside his horrible prison in the Chamber of Curiosities.18+ only. Although this poses no threat to the energy vampire Colin Robinson, the life of the Sire could be directly tied to Laszlo, Nadja, Nandor, the Baron, the Guide, and all other traditional bloodsucking vampires. However, Laszlo concludes that since he and Nadja were sired by the Baron Afanas, then they would’ve also died when the Baron died back in season 1, if the theory is true. However, when Laszlo and Colin dig up the Baron’s grave to find him alive, the vampires realize that the lives of all vampires could depend on the Sire’s survival. This is why the vampires panic when the Sire escapes.

In the end, only the Baron, who could speak the Sire’s long-dead vampiric language, was able to calm the ancient vampire down. Even What We Do In The Shadows' vampire hunter Guillermo was unsuccessful in trying to subdue the Sire. Later, in What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 6, "The Escape,” the Sire takes central stage as he escapes his prison. The Sire, also known as Goëjlrm, is first acknowledged in What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 2, "The Cloak of Duplication.” The Guide gives the four vampires a tour of the Vampiric Council’s Chamber of Curiosities, in which the Sire is locked inside a windowless room.
